Sushi Inspired Tuna Salad recipe

Looking for something to pep up your regular tuna salad? This recipe combines some spicy sushi flavours, such as wasabi and pickled ginger, to create a simple salad perfect for serving with greens or on white bread.


  • 1 x 175g tin tuna in brine, drained, any bones removed
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. wasabi paste
  • 1 tbsp. finely chopped spring onion
  • 1 tsp. finely chopped ginger


1. In a bowl, combine the tuna with wasabi, onion and ginger. Add mayonnaise and stir until combined. Use more or less mayonnaise to taste.

Pop this salad into the fridge before you serve it as it is best served cold. Recipe serves 2.
