Tandoori Lamb Chops recipe

These Tikka-flavoured lamb chops are absolutely full of flavour and are perfect for serving with other Indian nibbles, such as onion bhajis and poppadums. Stir together 100ml of yoghurt with some freshly chopped mint, salt and pepper for a tasty dip to serve with the lamb chops.


  • 6 lamb chops
  • 400ml natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp. cumin
  • 1 tbsp. garam masala
  • 1 tsp. ground coriander
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 2 tsp. chilli powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic puree


  1. Mix together the yoghurt, cumin, garam masala, coriander, turmeric, chilli and garlic. Pour over the lamb chops and put into the fridge for a few hours.

  2. When you’re ready to cook the chops, remove any excess marinade and put into a 180C oven for twenty minutes or until cooked to your liking.

To serve, chop the lamb into thin strips to make it easy to dip. This recipe serves around six people.
