This three seed loaf has a nutty, light and slightly sweet flavour, making it the perfect loaf for serving with sweet or savoury fillings. If you like, add a handful of raisins and a few tbsp. of sugar to sweeten it.
- 175g bread flour
- 175ml water
- 2 dstsp. each runny honey and rapeseed oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 tbsp. wholemeal flour
- 3 tbsp. flaxseed
- 2 dstsp. sesame seeds
- 1 dstsp. poppy seeds
- 1 1/4 tsp. dried active baking yeast
Put flaxseed, sesame seeds and poppy seeds onto a non-stick baking tray and toast in a 170C oven for 5 minutes.
Put the flour, water, honey, oil, salt, flour, seeds and yeast into the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Medium Brown and press Start. You can add the seeds either at the beginning or when the seed/fruit signal is given.
