Vanilla Froyo recipe

Preparation Time: 4 hours

Frozen vanilla yoghurt makes a delicious and healthy alternative to vanilla ice cream - garnish with some fresh berries or sprinkle with some chopped nuts to serve.


  • 500g low fat natural yoghurt
  • 250ml vanilla soy milk or regular milk
  • 1 tsp. - 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 5 tbsp. runny honey
  • 1 tbsp. rapeseed oil


  1. Whisk together the yoghurt, milk, vanilla, honey and oil until as smooth as possible.

  2. Churn according to manufacturer's instructions, or pour into a freezer-proof container and freeze for 3-4 hours, stirring halfway through the freezing time. Leave out of the freezer for 15 minutes before serving.

You can make this recipe into choclate yoghurt - just use chocolate milk, or fruity froyo by using a fruit-flavoured yoghurt. Recipe serves 6.
